Northwest Commercial Real Estate Service, committed to providing professional direction in real estate investment. After 16 years of residential and commercial experience with Trout Realty I have started my own office and I am very pleased with the response.
As a native Oregonian, was born in Astoria, grew up in Salem and finished that phase of school in Corvallis (OSU-BS 1968). When I served in the Air Force in Texas, my wife and I found the sun actually shines every day! While working for First National Bank in Portland, we missed the sunshine and negotiated a transfer to Prineville. From there I had assignments in Bend, Madras and Redmond in operations and lending . Then I took a position as manager of Salem Federal Saving & Loan in Prineville. In 1979 a group of Redmond business leaders opened Northwest Savings & Loan and invited me to be the President and CEO. We sold to Western Heritage in 1983, in a year I left to start my career with Trout Realty in 1984 where I exercised my real estate license until February 1999. My wife and I have raised two boys here and have tremendous love and respect for the community. We have become involved to the point we hope we can do our part to maintain this feeling of community.
My interests have always gravitated toward commercial and industrial real estate. To be equipped to handle the challenges found in the arena, I embarked on a course of professional development. After seven years of schooling and over $5 million in commercial real estate transactions, I completed the requirements, passed the exam and was awarded the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in November 1993. We now have our own computerized worldwide website and a network of over 4,000 professionals throughout the world. I serve as Vice President of the State CCIM Chapter and am President elect of the local Board of Realtors Commercial Investment Division. I am currently the only CCIM in Redmond.
The late Honorable Sam Johnson once told me, "Community Service is the rent we pay for living here." The principle is one I always try to follow. I have been active and through the chairs in The United Way, Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, REDAP and Opportunity Foundation. I also served on the Redmond City Council for 6 years. For the most part this has been very rewarding and it helps me keep in tune with the pulse of the community.
My commitment to the community and professional commitment to the Commercial, Industrial and Investment Real Estate Industry are parallel and the foundation for a long-term relationship of service to meet the needs of my clients. Having an experiences and knowledgeable Certified Professional working for you is essential in today's sophisticated commercial real estate market place. I look forward to the opportunity to serve you and to help you achieve your real estate goals.
